The Head of HR serves as a member of the Greenwood SLT and is responsible for the development and execution of all HR related activities at the site. Establishes HR strategies and drives solutions and services to the Site in support and alignment with business goals and objectives. Designs, evaluates, and implements policies. Manages all human resource activities such as employee engagement, recruiting, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance and talent management, organization development, compliance and employee communication in order to attract and retain strong talent and appropriately reward employees for performance.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will have two direct reports.
  • Management of HR Cost Center Budget
  • Adherence to cGMPs is required at all times during the manufacture of APIs.  All personnel own the quality of what they deliver and are responsible for notifying responsible management in a timely manner of regulatory inspections, serious GMP deficiencies, process deviations, product defects and related actions.
  • Safety-Must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.  Must comply with safety policies of the company and site.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide HR leadership, consultation and support to the site SLT team, line managers and employees.
  • Translate and implement globally defined HR strategies into locally applicable action plans.
  • Develop the change management strategy within the site to support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Establish HR operational plan aligned to the site business priorities and implement accordingly. Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve employee engagement and site efficiency.
  • Establish and drive organization and talent development actions to ensure strong and robust pipe-line of talent exists to fill both evolving local and global site staffing needs.
  • Monitor HR effectiveness by tracking & reporting key measures. Take corrective action as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Degree (required)* Bachelor’s Degree required

Field of Study Business Administration, HR, Organizational Development, Psychology

Degree (preferred) Master’s Degree

Field of Study Business/Org Development

Certifications (incl. professional qualifications) i.e. ACCA, GPHR, CIPS, PgMP

      10+ years of experience as an HR generalist with responsibility for managing an HR team as a member of senior leadership, preferably in a BioTech/Pharma manufacturing environment.
