The Inventory Analyst Lead is responsible to define and manage the actions directly or indirectly impacting the inventory and Value Adjustments/ Scrap of the Lonza site in Portsmouth, NH for all types: Finished, WIP, HIBEs and Raw materials. This position owns the respective management tools such as but not limited to: action tracker, reporting and detailed analysis on inventory deviations, and gaps to target. The Inventory lead is responsible for the governance of the inventory management across all value streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance supply chain analytics capabilities and outputs, as we work to shift to more proactive identification of opportunities and issues and elevating performance management and reporting needs of all levels of management.
  • Develop business analytics that enable identification, prioritization, and justification of improvement programs that optimize inventory performance.
  • Ensure and govern together with the Supply Chain leads the inventory target setting process in alignment with the BUs, Global Supply Chain guidance and Portsmouth site requirements. Provide full year & monthly outlook (normal average);binding as target for the whole year, though with regular reviews for optimization possibilities and risk management. Define inventory policy for safety, cycle and strategic stock (safety batch concept), including SAP data maintenance (Targets to be defined on all levels of material types).
  • Report the inventory situation regularly, accurately and ensure comprehensive and on time update of Progress Tracker, weekly inventory update, outlook and delta analysis. The reporting need consider and follow the  finance & accounting rules as well as the annual finance calendar. The inventory lead as to facilitate the governance approach and ensures that the inventory is reviewed and discussed at the right meetings, establish working teams and overlook activities. The inventory lead is acting as single point of contact for inventory reporting for the site Visp and supports the Supply Chains leads with their key acceptability of inventory management for each value stream/ BU.
  • Ensure inventory performance monitoring/management in alignment and with guidance from Supply Chain leads. Regularly review operative stock (cycle and safety stock) and management of replenishment parameter (campaign size, purchase order quantity, order policy, production lead-times, and supplier lead time).
  • Regularly perform the overstock management and address the appropriate CAPAs.
    Initiate actions to close potential gaps vs target, identify opportunity.
  • Owner of action plan (1) directly impacting inventory (2) indirectly via process improvements working teams in place.
  • Actionable Insights: Extract meaningful insights from data and formulate actionable recommendations that tangibly bolster the company's financial performance around inventory.
  • Ensure compliance to processes that impact inventory including but not limited to PO management, MRP, SMOG process, master data, forecast, etc though audit and ensure staffed is appropriate trained on task and knowledge around inventory. 

Key Requirements:

  • 6 years in Supply Chain focused Inventory
  • 2 years as an Analyst focused on analytical reporting
  • Advance Excel skills including macros and VBA
  • Intermediate skills with PowerBI or other similar systems
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills used to direct/persuade/influence others
  • Decision-taking to identify business challenges and focus on delivering results and value in site logistics environment
  • Developed leadership skillset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
  • High expertise in conceptual design
  • Acts and behaves as role model to leverage entire site logistics organization
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
