Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents.
While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.
At Lonza, we are looking for a Senior Director, Lonza Capability Centers (LCC) Design & Technology Transformation Lead to shape the future of our global Capability Center network by defining the operating model, technology strategy, and transformation roadmap that will enable scalable, efficient, and future-ready global service delivery.
Working closely with the Global Head of LCC, executive leadership, functional leaders, Enterprise IT, and global transformation teams, you will define how our Capability Centers operate, interact, and evolve across multiple geographies. You will drive the design of the multi-site operating model while ensuring the technology platforms, digital capabilities, and enterprise architecture are in place to support business growth, automation, AI enablement, and long-term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global operating model, site strategy, and design principles for Lonza's Capability Center network, ensuring clear accountability, scalability, and alignment across all locations.
- Develop the long-term multi-site transformation roadmap, defining migration sequencing, capability deployment, operating model evolution, and readiness milestones across all Capability Centers.
- Serve as the enterprise design authority for Capability Center strategy, providing governance, resolving cross-site design challenges, and ensuring consistency across functions and geographies.
- Design and operationalize the Capability Center Centre of Excellence (CoE) framework, establishing governance, knowledge-sharing mechanisms, innovation practices, and continuous improvement capabilities across the network.
- Lead the end-to-end technology strategy for the Capability Center organization, ensuring digital platforms, workflow solutions, integrations, and service management technologies enable the target operating model.
- Partner closely with Enterprise IT, ERP programme teams, and external technology partners to align technology roadmaps, manage dependencies, and ensure successful delivery across multiple transformation waves.
- Ensure technology platforms are designed to support future automation, AI, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining scalability and operational resilience.
- Drive alignment between SAP S/4HANA, enterprise architecture, service management platforms, and business workflows to enable seamless end-to-end operations across the Capability Center ecosystem.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements across global operations.
- Lead cross-functional design workshops and influence senior business leaders to build alignment around strategic decisions, operating model evolution, and technology priorities.
- Manage key technology partners and external consulting organizations to ensure successful delivery, quality, and execution of strategic transformation initiatives.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while supporting the long-term maturity of Lonza's global Capability Center model.
Required qualifications:
