Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EHS)
Location: Portsmouth, NH, (On-site)
As an EHS Manager at our Portsmouth site, you will lead and support site safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. You will partner with teams across the site to reduce risk, improve safety performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role combines leadership, hands-on support, and continuous improvement to protect people, operations, and the environment.
This role follows standard 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday office hours and requires onsite presence and engagement across operational areas.

What you will do
Develop and maintain site safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction
Partner with teams across the site to support safe operations and drive safety culture
Lead safety inspections, audits, and regulatory readiness activities
Conduct and support risk assessments for new processes, equipment, and changes
Deliver safety training and promote awareness across employees and contractors
Manage safety data, reporting, and compliance documentation
Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals to support site safety performance
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering, or a science-related field required
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in EHS, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a related environment
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA)
Experience leading safety programs, audits, and risk assessments
Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels
Comfortable working in operational environments, including occasional physical tasks such as walking the site, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 40 lbs
