Manager, Manufacturing DSP 80%-100% (m/f/d)

Lead manufacturing excellence in downstream processing (DSP) operations, driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a highly dynamic biopharmaceutical environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape team success while contributing to the delivery of life-saving therapies.


This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Lead and supervise a team of operations personnel, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce
  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily operational processes, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to optimize performance and resolve issues
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, GMP, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare reports, driving data-based decisions and corrective actions
  • Manage operational budgets and support training and development of team members

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical operations, including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve operational excellence
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Educational background in engineering, life sciences, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
