Payroll Payments & Accounting Specialist (EMEA)
Location: Hyderabad
This is an office‑first role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 40% of your time (two days per week)

The Payroll Payments & Accounting Specialist (EMEA) is responsible for delivering a seamless, high quality experience across all payroll related payment and accounting activities. This role ensures accurate and timely statutory and third party payments, strengthens financial and operational controls, and provides proactive support to internal stakeholders including GBSO, Treasury, Finance and external payroll vendors. The postholder plays a key role in driving efficiency, service quality and continuous improvement across the payroll payments and accounting landscape.

What you will do
Payroll Related Third Party Payments
Ensure accurate and timely execution of all payroll related third party payments across EMEA, including tax authorities, social security agencies, pension providers, benefits vendors, court orders and statutory deductions.
Validate payroll payment files and statutory outputs with a strong focus on excellence prior to release, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Monitor statutory deadlines by country, taking accountability for meeting all legal obligations.
Funding & Treasury Alignment
Validate payroll funding requirements (estimated and final) and share information transparently to uphold integrity and financial accuracy for all EMEA entities.
Provide Treasury with clear, proactive visibility of funding needs and timelines fostering strong collaboration across functions
Maintain payment calendars and funding schedules showing accountability for reliable, on time execution.
Financial Governance & Partnering
Act as primary point of contact for payroll related finance queries from GBSO and Finance teams resolving queries through open, respectful collaboration.
Partner with Finance on payroll accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, and resolution of payment variances.
Support period end and year end payroll financial processes with full integrity, ensuring accurate and timely information flow.
Controls, Compliance & Payment Assurance
Support the maintenance of accurate, compliant payroll related payments through strong operational controls.
Validate invoices received from vendors against payroll reporting.
Ensure appropriate evidence, documentation and approvals are maintained for audit readiness.
Collaborate with Quality & Compliance colleagues on EMEA specific regulatory or documentation needs.
What we are looking for
3–5 years of experience in payroll operations, payroll accounting, or payroll-related finance roles, preferably within an EMEA multi-country environment.
Strong understanding of payroll statutory requirements, tax authorities, social security, and pension regulations across multiple EMEA countries.
Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and resolution of payment variances.
Experience with payroll funding/treasury coordination and familiarity with payroll/HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP).
Strong attention to detail with proven ability to validate large volumes of payment files and statutory outputs for accuracy.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience partnering across Finance, Treasury, and Compliance teams.
