Operations Support: Operations Support Specialist, Large Scale Mammalian

Due to the growth at our site in Visp, we are currently looking for Operations Support and Manufacturing Specialists for our 6x20K Large Scale Mammalian Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing operational activities within the Operations Support Team in partnership with Buffer Media Supply, USP and DSP. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Assignments within the Operations Support team focused on receipt and management of raw materials, single use materials, dispensing of small volume and large-scale medias and buffers. 

  • Processing of parts in washers and autoclaves 

  • Transport and storage of materials within temperature-controlled requirements 

  • Recognition, interpretation, and elimination of deviations  

  • Execution of tasks in compliance with safety regulations and cGMP quality requirements. 

  • Execution of production steps including interaction with HMIs and automated systems 

  • Support on-going training to develop your technical skills in a fast paced, large scale mammalian facility (6 x 20K Bioreactors) 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Fluent English with German language skills advantageous 

  • Completed chemical / biopharmaceutical education or vocational training preferred 

  • Professional experience in pharmaceutical production as an operator/production technician in a GMP environment is a plus 

  • Safety mindset; forklift and/or electric pallet truck training will be required  

  • Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail and support of 6S standards 

  • Willingness to work in shifts (e.g. 2 or 3-shift pattern) with flexible work scheduling 

  • Day shift schedule to start during training period and establishment of the Operations Support Department.
