One of the big attractions of Lonza is the constant focus on pushing the boundaries of what we can accomplish. There are countless opportunities to take ownership and play your part. My career demonstrates this perfectly. I started out as a manufacturing operator and quickly rose to a role that others looked to – actively leading my team and influencing others to meet my high expectations.
My next move was to Quality Assurance, a closer fit for my educational background and my keen attention to detail. I thrived in gaining critical qualifications and absorbing new responsibilities to support my team and achieve deliverable timelines. Lonza’s refined organizational roadmaps have been a great tool for furthering my career. Now, I work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure the quality, safety, and purity of the products we produce – for the direct benefit of patients. Daily, I review manufacturing and analytical documentation to enable lot release. Each week brings new challenges that demand unique solutions. Solving these challenges is satisfying, and it gives me a great sense of accomplishment and keeps me excited about my role.
It is a pleasure to do this job alongside such extraordinary colleagues. They are so supportive of each other, and always strive to be better. It is inspiring to be surrounded by people who are so passionate about our mission and take so much pride in what they do.
