Quality Assurance Officer, Lonza Netherlands
Kevin joined Lonza in July 2019 after moving to Limburg. Although he was new to Quality Assurance (QA), he found his team to be hugely supportive, helping him adjust to his new responsibilities. Kevin now conducts QA for manufacturing projects, reviewing documents, examining deviations from procedure and making sure we comply with regulations and processes.
I wanted a job where I would feel motivated every day. I’m driven by being part of a company that’s doing amazing work, and Lonza produces an amazing range of cell and gene therapies that can improve or even save a patient’s life.
started at Lonza, my career has progressed…
…even though I’ve been here for less than a year. I was given responsibility very early on – taking ownership for a project where I’m responsible for QA, alongside another Project Manager
special to work at Lonza because…
We get to help change people’s lives through our amazing therapies. This feels both special and fulfilling – I have a reason to get out of bed every morning and I’m excited to start my day.
is meaningful because…
I am responsible for reviewing important documents used during the release of products and which prove each batch is produced according to regulations. My role therefore has direct impact on the release of our final product, and everything related to this. QA are also involved with other departments, and we have final approval in many decisions. This means I get to work closely with colleagues all over the Geleen site
makes me feel good at the end of the working day is…
Knowing that I’m helping to manufacture a product which is GMP-compliant. Our clients expect us to deliver safe, high quality products, and my role is key to that.
exciting thing about working at Lonza is…
Seeing the other side of Quality Control and Manufacturing with QA. It’s exciting to work together with these departments to deliver a product that we can all be proud of.
most appreciate about my team is...
The way they help me out whenever I have questions. We work together to make sure every member of the team has the knowledge to make the best (compliant) decisions. Best of all, we all enjoy what we do and have a friendly, upbeat environment where we can chat and relax over a cup of coffee.
