This is an ambitious opportunity located in Greenwood, SC, USA, where you will contribute to our ongoing growth by developing and supporting global automation systems. Your expertise will craft the future of automation across multiple continents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, replicate, modify, and support global automation systems in Belgium, France, US, Mexico, China, Japan, and India.
  • Apply sophisticated PLC/SCADA/Simotion proficiencies to global initiatives, with a focus on the software development process.
  • Build test plans to verify the fitness of software for use.
  • Carry out commissioning and support validation of control systems.
  • Develop accurate time estimates for control software development tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between R&D and production site automation (control systems) engineers/maintenance.
  • Help management encourage colleagues to actively contribute to environmental and health safety initiatives.
  • Design modifications to existing automation systems based on process diagrams, user requirements, functional requirements, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and machine mechanical drawings.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required; Master of Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics, with an emphasis on automation.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; open to mentorship from senior colleagues.
  • Strong project development, implementation, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and diligent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
