As a Senior Section Lead, Stella’s challenge is to manage multiple customer projects, on tight schedules, with zero margin for error. It’s a role that means she needs to keep abreast of the latest technological developments, focus on continuous improvement and operate with a ‘right first time’ mindset.

Since I
started at Lonza, my career has progressed…
Steadily. I joined straight from university in 2015, as a trainee, with basic aseptic techniques and process development skillsets. I spent my first 12 months at our site in Slough (UK) building on my skills through structured on-the-job training. After that, I returned to Singapore and completed my two years bond, starting out as a scientist in Development Services. Now, I am Senior Section Lead with responsibility for multiple customer projects and for managing and mentoring my own team of new and experienced scientists. I made the right decision to join six years ago and am pleased to grow and continue my career journey here.

The positive global impact we can have. I am thrilled that Lonza is partnering Moderna to manufacture the COVID-19 vaccine!
What I
most appreciate about my team is...
They are one of the many amazing blessings of working at Lonza. They are great team players and all very approachable. I think it would be rare to find such a collaborative culture elsewhere.
