My job is to ensure that indirect goods and services for the whole technical department are maintained in a timely and cost-effective manner, avoiding any supply issues and ensuring business continuity. I keep track of stock levels and of the products' expiration dates, including consumables for the Production and Quality Control lab, and spare parts for Maintenance. As sustainability is a key consideration in all we do, I have been evaluating a switch to an electric car fleet to reduce our carbon footprint.
The collaboration, sense of solidarity and friendship that exists at Lonza is what I value the most and it has impressed me since day one. Sometimes working in a fast paced environment can be challenging, but by working with a dedicated and motivated team we always find a solution.
I am in favor of a mindset that values process improvement and new approaches, and with my colleagues from other Lonza sites we share best-practices and standardize as much as possible.
Being employed with Lonza, a leader in the field, makes me happy and I love what I do. I believe the organization benefits from my excitement and my passion for procurement.
