Reporting to the Head of Commercial Development Bioconjugates, the Senior Director will develop solid business plans to delivers against annual financial & commercial targets. The position plays a pivotal role in commercial leadership and works closely with sales, marketing, proposals teams, Portfolio Management and site operational functions prioritizing projects and opportunities!
Key responsibilities:
- Shapes Lonza’s strategic plan to grow its presence in the Bioconjugates business
- Analyzes market areas, defines business models & terms for retention and expansion business of existing customers
- Works closely with sales lead and portfolio management to develop strategies to secure a rounded pipeline of opportunities.
- Explores opportunities for innovative business models to further differentiate Lonza CDMO Service from competition
- Develops retention and expansion strategies for customers in Lonza’s development pipeline and manages the portfolio to minimize risk
- Plays a key role in Market Development and elaboration of the market mix (strategic marketing) for Lonza Bioconjugates
- Works effectively with Portfolio Management to develop short-mid-long term commercial objectives.
- Advises on both technical and business aspects of the business for the portfolio of customers/products
Key requirements:
- 10 + years of experience.
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership in a matrixed environment
- Problem solving abilities
- Strong program management and organizational skills
- CDMO background with understanding of drug development process
- Preferably drug substance and drug product experience
- Customer focused and result oriented
- Strategic thinking
- Experience in CDMO operations
- The ideal candidate will be geographically located in an US. Approximately 40% travel expected, including customer visits, Lonza site visits, internal meetings and industry conferences.
