Key Responsibilities:

The Deputy Manager – HR will assist the Country HR Head in managing day-to-day HR operations at the site. The role requires a strong understanding of HR practices across the employee lifecycle, with focus on Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Statutory Compliance. The incumbent will also play a key role in driving employee engagement, policy implementation, and supporting business priorities through effective people practices.

Detailed Job descriptions:

1. HR Operations & Talent Management

  • Manage recruitment and selection for site operators/blue color positions.
  • Oversee smooth onboarding, induction, and integration of new employees.
  • Support performance management cycle – goal setting, mid-year, and annual reviews.
  • Drive employee learning & development initiatives aligned with business needs.

2. Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Facilitate transparent communication between employees and management (townhall meetings etc).
  • Organize employee engagement activities and support cultural initiatives.
  • Provide HR support and guidance to employees on queries and policies.

3. Policy, Benefits & Compliance

  • Support formulation, implementation, and review of HR policies at site level.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliances under applicable Labour Laws.
  • Administer Employee Health Insurance and Term Life Insurance programs, including enrollment, claims coordination, and employee communication.
  • Maintain HR records, documentation, and reporting as per audit requirements.

4. Employee Relations

  • Assist in handling employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Build trustful relationships with employees to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Support union/works council interactions where applicable.

5. HR Projects & Support

  • Partner with the Country HR Head in implementing strategic HR initiatives.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion goals at the site.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing/site setup.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in recruitment, performance management, and L&D.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • High integrity, resilience, and collaborative mindset.
