What you’ll do:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team and external service suppliers
Plan resources and vacations for team members to fulfill all production, analytic orders, and maintenance plans
Guarantee the accessibility of Pharmaceutical & Analytical Development and Quality Control Laboratories, utilities, and HVAC while adhering to Lonza GxP and EHS standards
Lead professional and economic execution of maintenance activities ensuring high availability of lab units and equipment
Assist leadership and laboratory teams with plant engineering and maintenance matters concerning laboratory equipment, utilities, and HVAC systems.
Implement improvement initiatives for processes (e.g., maintenance excellence), as well as CAPEX projects, establishing effective technical support
Owner of overall CAPEX and OPEX Budget
Lead the team with full responsibility for human resource management, including qualification, development, mentoring, hiring, pay decisions, and team issues
What we’re looking for:
University or technical college degree in mechanical or process engineering
10+ years of experience in a laboratory environment for aseptic products (clinical and/or commercial) or aseptic production with proven knowledge of cGMP and EHS compliance requirements
5+ years of team leadership experience with a strong team orientation
Driven by achieving objectives while following GMP, EHS, and business requirements
Open to different perspectives and able to find effective ways to address challenges
Active contribution and support to Site and Lonza targets
Remarkable communication prowess for interactions within and outside the organization
Agile, highly motivated, and driven to succeed
Support the entire Drug Product Services team
Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken)
