Lonza’s Capsules & Health Ingredients business is the trusted partner for innovative products, including capsules and health ingredients, customization services and end-to-end dosage form solutions for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies. 

The Finance Director provides leadership to the the financial shared services to the Business and Operations (mfg plant) in the process and cost efficient manner. Being the FLER of the country, ensure the legal entity finance to be fully compliance with local statutory requirement and Lonza Group standard.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the BSO country team to deliver financial services to businesses across India, covering essential processes like R2R, S2P, and O2C. Ensure the achievement of critical metrics set by GBSO.
  • Support GBSO's global initiatives by aiming for process standardization, automation, and streamlining.
  • Participate in global projects, such as SAP system upgrades, or assist in projects led by global functions, like Real Estate disposal.
  • As the FLER and Board member, take overall responsibility for the financial compliance of the legal entities. Act as the primary contact for external auditors at the country level.
  • Coordinate the tax and treasury operations of the legal entities, working with corporate tax and treasury functions to implement group policies and ensure compliance.
  • Be a key member of the GBSO APAC leadership team, applying expertise in India to build connections and offer assistance across country teams.
  • Coordinate the Internal Control System (ICS) process to improve control quality.
  • Focus on developing team capabilities to build a robust talent pipeline and create career opportunities for high-potential individuals.
  • Continuously enhance internal customer happiness through effective business partnering.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or economics, with a professional accounting certification.
  • Proven experience of 10+ years in a multinational corporation (MNC) with a focus on finance shared services center operations.
  • Strong experience in leading large and diverse teams.
  • SAP S4/HANA experience is a plus.
  • A sound and clear track record as a financial professional is essential.
