Key Responsibilities:

  • Make decisions related to achieving production objectives and ensuring GMP compliance.
  • Maintain and manage a portfolio of cost-saving and process improvement projects.
  • Lead and participate in Root Cause Corrective Action activities to eliminate defects, applying the DMAIC approach.
  • Collaborate with various teams including customers, tech service, quality, production, and maintenance to resolve issues.
  • Develop technical work instructions and guidelines for training manufacturing colleagues.
  • Serve as a positive ambassador of change, motivating the workforce to meet short and long-term demand forecasts.
  • Engage in Site Environmental efforts and special plant safety activities as required.
  • Investigate and direct efforts to improve installed equipment through expense and capital improvements.
  • Develop recipes for new products and oversee their implementation.
  • Perform day-to-day process engineering tasks, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate activities related to dye preparation, gelatin/polymer melting, and chemical cleaning processes.
  • Actively seek solutions to reduce waste losses and improve safety measures.
  • Provide technical expertise to develop and support equipment improvement projects.
  • Support the maintenance of all equipment in the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week, which may include weekends and holidays, and additional hours as business needs dictate.
  • Regular attendance at the plant site is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Business Fluent in English.
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a preference for GMP and FDA environments.
  • Green Belt / Black Belt preferred
  • Ability to trend data via statistical analysis to predict equipment performance
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, including identification, development, and implementation within time and budget constraints.
  • Advanced PC skills and technical proficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
  • Willingness to travel as required
