Key responsibilities:
- Implement and complete activities in the Quality Control department, ensuring adherence to all GMP and safety standards.
- Act as a contact person for complex issue handling and performance activities that require specialized knowledge in microbiology.
- Apply scientific skills to provide advice and propose improvements within the QC department.
- Represent the QC department for microbiological topics during team meetings, Quality Councils, and meetings with partners.
- Thoroughly understand activities linked to microbiological expertise, including risk analysis and method implementation.
- Generate, review, and approve QC documents, and act as an expert during internal and external audits and inspections.
- Provide input for problem-solving within the microbiology branch and continuously educate and increase knowledge in this area.
- Suggest and implement process, planning, and training improvements.
- Collaborate with QC employees and contract labs to identify and assess possible improvements.
- Advise on and ensure the generation, review, and approval of QC documents in accordance with cGMP.
- Proactively follow up on development activities and share knowledge within the QC department.
- Perform other microbiology-related duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
- Broad understanding of pharmaceutical microbiology test methods for a wide range of customer matrices.
- Practical experience working with bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and algae.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across teams and with project managers or clients.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to meet agreed deadlines.
- Proficiencies needed: Thoroughness, Initiative, Critical Information seeking, Results orientation, Analytical thinking, Ability to Learn.
