This outstanding opportunity will lead the MSAT department at our Portsmouth site, driving our ambitious goals and setting world-class standards. As the Head of MSAT, this individual will ensure the flawless execution of our site strategy while encouraging a collaborative and inclusive environment. Your leadership will be essential in guiding our teams to successfully implement innovative solutions and achieve outstanding results.
Key responsibilities:
- 50% Group Leadership: Coordinate multiple groups within the MSAT organization with a strict focus on safety, resource planning, and quality performance. Mentorship in work deliverables, budgetary performance, and Quality Records. Provide mentorship on company policies, promote global interactions, mediate conflicts, and prioritize work to establish long-term group objectives.
- 20% Coaching and Development of MSAT Team: Mentor and develop the MSAT management team, focusing on both group responsibilities and personal growth. Prepare team members for future leadership roles and provide continuous feedback to improve their professional development.
- 10% Customer Project Interaction: Collaborate directly with Program Managers and customers to ensure projects are meticulously planned and completed to meet business and customer needs flawlessly.
- 20% Engage and Communicate with Site Leadership Team: Actively participate in Site Leadership Team meetings, ensuring alignment with site strategies to support successful business delivery. Champion key initiatives and foster a site culture that embraces change and innovation.
Key requirements:
- At least 15 years of proven experience in biotech, with expertise in process development, scale-up/manufacturing, and Process Validation.
- Strong background in Tech Transfer, Process Support, Data Science, and Process Validation across various modalities.
- Detailed understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and US/EU regulations.
- Leadership experience coordinating direct reports (5-8) and leading all aspects of a larger team of up to 150 individuals.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation, learning, and development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, communicate complex strategies effectively, and drive customer happiness.
- Proven track record of achieving high-quality performance and accountability through delegation and measurable actions.
