Finance Manager, ICS for APAC

  • Oversee the Lonza’s internal control framework (ICS) from an operational perspective for the APAC region to ensure that relevant risks are covered adequately
  • Work with the Corporate Compliance to develop the annual program for ICS initiatives, training, communication and testing
  • Jointly own the ICS KPIs of On-time completion, Quality, Efficiency of issue solving and the In-control certificate.
  • Act as single point of contact for the frontline questions related to the Internal Controls in the APAC region, including first level systems support.
  • Support the control owners during the annual ICS cycle from risk self-assessment to testing and reporting.
  • Throughout the annual cycle, ensure adequate and regular updates across the regional organization, including relevant management levels. 
  • Manage the relationship with relevant ICS stakeholders (incl. Process Owners, Function Heads, Finance Legal Entity Responsible and Local business functions) to ensure their support and buy-in to the ICS requirements. 
  • Ensure regular ICS training to control owners on specific topics, as well as general awareness training for the Finance and Business community in the  regional organization.
  • Lead, oversee and manage the Segregation of Duties (SoD) topic from an operational perspective to prevent that SoD risks materialize and negatively affect the region. 
  • Trigger escalation with regional and country management / global financial compliance team for any issues that cannot be resolved by controls owners without support. 
  • Work closely with R2R function along the Deloitte audit process and coordinate to reply the internal control related enquiries from the external auditor.
  • Participate the process design of new system (S4/HANA upgrade), ensure the future process to meet Corporate compliance standard, as well as the statutory requirements defined by the domestic authorities

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, Finance / Accounting./Audit
  • Minimum 5 years working experience, experience worked in Big 4 is the plus.
  • A proven leader and influencer on internal control topics 
  • ​Ability to influence without authority, and the stakeholders management skill to drive the risk owners at all levels to a common result and deadline 
  • ​Proactive, hands-on with strong internal controls ethics and mindset. 
  • ​Strong communication capability, including to structure presentations and written communication with clear, understandable content. 
  • ​SAP working knowledge is preferred  
  • ​Analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret data, identify improvements or remediation and present findings to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • ​High level of operational awareness across finance transactional processes.
