The Senior Director of Digital Commerce will have the opportunity to lead our ambitious digital marketing and commercial strategies, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experiences. Key responsibilities:
Lead the advancement of CHI’s customer portal:
- Direct digital product roadmap, align portal design to boost revenue, efficiency, and user experience.
- Lead change management and digital product marketing efforts to ensure adoption and growth of the portal in both the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries and across all regions.
- Lead case development, prioritization, and collaborate with product teams and IT to develop new features through agile methodologies.
- Develop, map, and establish digital customer journeys and commensurate digital customer services and experiences.
- Coordinate external development partners to ensure smooth execution and alignment with business priorities and budgets.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve the portal’s functionalities.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to monetize key digital value differentiators for Lonza CHI in the marketplace.
Lead Digital Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE):
- Establish and evolve web presence to embed a digital experience throughout Lonza CHI’s key customer touch points.
- Drive global digital marketing campaigns while partnering with regional marketing, global marketing, external comms, product management teams, and revenue operations.
- Lead the strategy and management of key digital channels (LinkedIn, Google Ads, SEO, social media, etc.), ensuring alignment with business goals and adequate return on investment.
- Build and maintain digital marketing campaign playbooks, standards, and lead management processes to ensure consistent execution and effective lead encouraging.
- Direct CHI's online presence, handling transitions, consolidation, user engagement, and design standards.
- Leverage data analytics to measure, optimize, and refine digital marketing efforts, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable results across channels.
Develop integrations (e.g. EDI, punchout) roadmap:
- Lead creation of strategic B2B integrations roadmap, including business use case development and target customer, distributor, and partner identification, to support omnichannel strategy and drive operational efficiencies.
- Lead all aspects of case development technology feasibility assessments, execution of integration initiatives, ensuring alignment with Lonza CHI’s go-to-market strategy.
- Lead pilot implementation of EDI, punchout, and other API integrations with strategic customers and partners.
- Collaborate with external vendors, IT, and other partners to ensure smooth integration and alignment with technology standards and requirements.
Drive CHI’s digitalization and automation transformation:
- Lead CHI’s digital transformation roadmap, using strong project management skills to drive successful execution.
- Employ data-driven insights and innovation to continuously improve CHI’s digital capabilities, presence, and leadership.
- Continually evaluate new technologies, support technology integrations, facilitate new process development and lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new digital tools.
- Seek new ways of doing business including but not limited to the use of novel artificial intelligence tools and functionality.
- Collaborate with corporate functions, operations, and external partners to integrate standard processes, analytics, and new technologies.
- Empower and grow a distributed team, encouraging a culture of innovation, accountability, tenacity, collaboration, and insightfulness.
Key requirements:
- Demonstrated experience leading B2B/B2C digital marketing campaigns.
- Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
- Demonstrable experience leading and running SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or digital advertising campaigns.
- Functional knowledge and experience of marketing automation tools/software and ESP (Marketo, Pardot, Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.).
- Experience using multiple website content management systems (Sitecore, Wordpress, etc.).
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Solid knowledge of CRM software and reporting (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, etc.).
- Solid understanding of ad serving tools.
- Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
- Previous experience of working within a role where coordination, prioritization, and project management skills are required.
- Ability to lead activities, projects, and coordinate with multiple functional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong cases.
- Experience leading large capital and operational budgets.
- Able to plan, coordinate, and prioritize.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a group setting to meet timelines.
- Outstanding communication skills at multiple levels of the organization including to executive leadership.
