Lonza AG is in search of an exceptionally hard-working EHS Manager to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at our Visp site in Switzerland. This represents an ambitious opportunity to promote a flawless safety culture and maintain the highest standards in occupational health and safety!
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate EHS programs for the Visp site, focusing on occupational health and safety
Ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and international standards on site by performing relevant audits and walkthroughs
Develop and implement innovative strategies to promote a safety culture across all Business Platforms
Coordinate the definition and reporting of critical metrics for occupational health and safety
Support near miss reporting and conduct detailed incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Serve as the EHS Specialist Operations for Shared Services following the Business Partner model
Qualifications:
Certified Safety Engineer with EKAS (SUVA) certification
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemical or bio-manufacturing industry, with a proven process understanding in biopharma manufacturing, including cGMP & safety aspects
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing EHS initiatives
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, in German and English
Strong presentation skills for developing and delivering effective campaigns and trainings to improve knowledge, skills, and behavior at multiple levels of the organization
