The Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the monthly supply planning processes are completed to support integrated planning efforts. Key duties include creating, executing, and maintaining the Supply Plan based on the Demand Forecast, which involves developing the Master Production Schedule and medium-term capacity loading outlooks. The manager will also develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks related to supply planning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up and coordinate the monthly supply planning cycle and governance.

  • Ensure key supply issues and decisions are advanced in a timely manner and aligned with feedback from collaborators.

  • Implement strict controls to manage raw materials and finished goods inventory, preventing losses and scrap.

  • Facilitate supply chain S&OP discussions and prepare for annual budget cycles.

  • Collaborate with appropriate collaborators to ensure the supply plan reflects a shared vision of the future.

  • Govern the connection between the supply plan and related material, labor, and asset capacity plans.

  • Maintain the supply plan in relevant systems including SAP IBP and SAP ECC.

  • Ensure warehouse and shipping areas operate safely and in compliance with cGMP standards.

  • Streamline processes and workflows to improve warehouse efficiency and storage.

  • Actively develop direct reports and build a high-performing SCM team.

  • Define responsibilities within CGT SCM operations.

  • Foster strong working relationships with other Lonza teams.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Lead representatives in area audits (internal and external).

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with extensive experience in end-to-end Supply Chain, warehouse roles in Life Sciences GMP, FMCG, Medical Devices.

  • Demonstrated success in demand and supply planning, with an approach for handling complex product lifecycle management.

  • Experience with process improvement tools and processes (e.g., root cause analysis, statistical process control).

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Change management skills.

  • Proficiency in SAP Master Data and understanding of SAP Production Planning, Purchasing, and Warehouse modules.
