Join Lonza AG as the Site Head Portsmouth, where you will lead our ambitious manufacturing operations in Portsmouth, NH, USA. This role is pivotal in driving the site's performance, aligning with our world-class operational network, and supporting our commercial business units. We are looking for a proven leader who can successfully implement strategies and encourage our team to achieve flawless results!

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Portsmouth Site and its Leadership Team to deliver growth initiatives and base business in a safe, high-quality, and compliant manner, addressing profitability challenges.
  • Engage with and adhere to Lonza’s operational performance requirements, generating reports and ensuring organizational alignment with Lonza’s directed strategies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring alignment and successful execution of plans.
  • Mentor and develop the Site Leadership Team, encouraging both individual and team growth to deliver outstanding business results.
  • Communicate effectively with the entire Portsmouth organization, encouraging individuals to achieve encouraged outcomes in close alignment with Specialized Modalities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of site leadership experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with expertise in aseptic processing and/or biologic bulk drug substance delivery.
  • Progressive experience in both operations and other functions is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, safe work environment leadership, and continuous improvement in a multi-layered organization.
  • Ability to articulate an inspiring vision, develop leaders, and translate strategies into executable plans.
  • Proven capability to lead through direct reports, compelling excellence in performance from the leadership team and the entire organization.
  • Represent Lonza positively to customers, regulators, and the community, building relationships that support Lonza Portsmouth’s strategies and objectives.
