The Platform CAPEX Finance Head, will be responsible for driving planning and execution of organic growth projects as well as supporting inorganic growth initiatives for the platform. This role will actively supervise existing and planned CAPEX spend, providing comprehensive explanation on root cause analysis for any over / underspend across projects, whilst assessing the potential impact on business (immediate and future potential impacts).
The ideal candidate collaborates effectively, encouraging positive relationships with internal collaborators, prioritizes customer needs, and adapts in a fast-paced setting. This role offers great insights and opportunities to craft the future & strategy of the Platform / company.
Key responsibilities:
Reports, coordinates and monitors CAPEX levels in conjunction with Site Operations Finance and with Global Engineering teams to develop robust and reliable outlooks
Manages risks and ops for CAPEX and proactively contacts the team to steer actions
Proactively works with the teams to identify future CAPEX requirements across the network and timing of such requirements
Collaborates with collaborators (SGIE, Commercial, Ops, etc.) to develop strong and dependable arguments for significant growth initiatives
Supports execution of growth projects of the Platform through active participation in respective governance bodies
Builds financial models with business leaders and cross-functional teams to assess CAPEX allocations and growth projects.
Supports various financial planning initiatives throughout the year (i.e. long term planning, forecasts)
Key requirements:
Strong communication skills and ability to zoom in and out in complex, fast-paced environments
Strong story-telling capabilities with ability to transform complex issues into a clear & simple story that drives a focused set of actions
Solid analytical skills and intuition for business to convert information into appropriate models
Good understanding of basic accounting concepts relevant to Lonza’s CDMO field of work to reflect in modelling exercises
Skilled at leading multiple initiatives simultaneously to drive successful performance
Strong collaborator across various levels and functions with the ability to discuss and challenge underlying assumptions based on fact based analysis
Proficiencies in various Lonza systems: SAC, BW, SAP, PBI analytics
Ideally site, factory, plant controlling and finance - manufacturing experience
