Key responsibilities:

  • Manage quality assurance and risk to ensure compliant HR & Payroll services across Lonza locations, focus but not limited to Americas.

  • Ensure compliance with all HR & Payroll impacted statutory requirements, financial regulations, and company policies.

  • Identify and ensure implementation of necessary changes to keep the payroll service aligned with current legislation, financial regulations, and Labor Agreements.

  • Proactively monitor compliance changes in respective countries, providing governance to HR Services teams that changes have been reflected in process.

  • Provide governance to Ensure deadlines are met for statutory returns and payments.

  • Continuously improve HR & Payroll-related processes and controls, including business continuity plans and simplifying legacy approaches as part of wide Global HR Operations team

  • Gather, analyze, and provide relevant details in support of performance indicators and targets, such as HR performance quality and accuracy.

  • Work closely with finance colleagues for monthly and period payroll-related activities, including reconciliations and maintenance of control accounts.

  • Lead audits that impact HR Services with support from the wider team.

  • Manage ad hoc projects and take ownership of complex and technical issues related to compliance and risk control.

  • Advise the team and wider collaborators on compliance and risk-related business decisions.

  • Foster connections with internal and external collaborators.

  • Provide appropriate management information as required.

Key requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in HR or related fields.

  • Experience in Risk and Compliance Management.

  • Proficient experience within a shared service center, preferably in an HR Services environment acting as a subject matter expert.

  • Excellent IT skills in MS Word, Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations, building partnerships, and managing collaborators.

  • Good knowledge and experience working with Workday/ServiceNow.

  • Experience with Payroll Change Management processes.
