Cost Controller
Location: Manchester or Slough

We are currently looking for a Cost Controller.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate month-end close (accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, cost center reviews)
• Report and explain results to Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders
• Plan costs and FTEs during Budget and Outlook cycles
• Provide financial advice and support to decision making: advise on costs
• FTEs, planning and reporting
• Support improvement initiatives
• Be a trusted partner to Finance and Business stakeholders

Key requirements:

• Degree in a relevant Finance related field
• At least 3 years of tangible post-qualified experience in finance related functions (controlling preferred)
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively in order to explain financial concepts to non-finance people
• Solid organizational, planning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and general computer skills particularly with accounting systems (SAP preferred) and reporting (BW)
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI preferred)
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
