Over the past years in Lonza, Dr. Krumov has been responsible for the development of fermentation and primary recovery processes for a number of customers, as well as successful scale up and transfer of processes towards different production scales. He has supported customers in the familiarization and initial implementation of Lonza’s XS® Technologies for Microbial Expression. He joined the Microbial Upstream Development team of Lonza in Visp, Switzerland in 2013. His core expertise is yeast-based fermentation. Dr. Krumov gathered experience as a group leader in the Bioprocess engineering Department of Karlsruhe Institute of Technologies (KIT), Germany, researching for four years in the field of particle biotechnology. He holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Food Technologies, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
