Lonza has a strong track record in the manufacturing of BioConjugates from early clinical to large scale commercial supplies. Our dedicated Protein Conjugation Plant facility (PCP) is recognized as a center of excellence for Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) as well as other classes of BioConjugates. We are experiencing an increased demand in this area and as part of Lonza’s IBEX Dedicate model, new bioconjugation suites will be built out within the pre-existing shell.

In order to support our continued growth Lonza is seeking a Sr. Teamlead Operations BioConjugates with a relevant background in Life Sciences and a passion for Biotechnology to join our talent community in Visp,Switzerland. Key responsibilities:
Main responsibility for the cost-efficient and quality-compliant production of the assigned products, as well as preparation of production campaigns.
For the installation and commissioning of new bioconjugation suites, you will act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the assigned area’s.
Personnel responsibility and technical leadership of a team of approximately 5-8 people.
Participation in cross-departmental working groups for the start-up of new bioconjugation suites and standardization of technologies and workflows.
Transfer, optimization and further development of production processes.
Representation of the assigned products in audits and inspections.
Key requirements:
PhD, Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related Life Science subject
Over 5 years of GMP manufacturing experience and knowledge in DSP units (such as chromatography, Ultrafiltration etc.) and/or BioConjugates manufacturing
GMP experience and understanding of bioprocess technology
High motivation, flexibility and extraordinary dedication
Excellent communication skills in English, German is an advantage
