MSAT – Operational Material Management Specialist

For our site in Visp we are looking for an Operational Material Management Specialist.  As a member of MSAT (Manufacturing Science & Technology) Biologics you will be  focused on the raw materials and single use materials topics, supporting the MSAT teams and ensuring harmonization among the different Business Units. In this role you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the further development of the material management procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate general raw material topics ensuring harmonized procedures and sharing best practices among the different technologies in Lonza Biologics at Visp

  • Collaborate with Global MSAT and site Quality, Supply Chain and Logistics to maintain and develop the raw material management systems in line with the global guidance, with the objective of ensuring a regulatory compliant and increasingly efficient process

  • Support MSAT’s teams with raw material topics

  • Review and approve Deviations and Changes concerning general issues related to raw materials

  • Develop and Maintain a training program to ensure MSAT can perform the assigned raw material tasks

  • Monitor and develop the performance of the raw material processes

Key requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Biotechnology or scientific discipline (Chemistry/ Engineering/ Analytics/Biochemistry)

  • Min. of 2-5 years of experience as an MSAT Operational Material Management Specialist

  • Experience in biopharma manufacturing

  • Very good planning and organization skills

  • Team player able to work independently in multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent communication skills in English, German is an advantage
