The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering both theoretical and practical training programs for employees at Lonza's sterile fill and finish Growth Project. The role involves creating comprehensive training modules, conducting hands-on training sessions, and ensuring that employees are well-versed in both the theoretical and practical aspects of their roles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, and theoretical and practical assessments, tailored to the needs of the sterile fill and finish plant and aseptic behaviors.

  • Conduct training sessions on various topics, including but not limited to operational topics, hygiene, gowning, aseptic behaviors, EHS topics.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback, making adjustments as necessary.

  • Provide hands-on training to employees in a sterile environment, ensuring that they are proficient in their roles.

  • Ensure that all training programs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and program effectiveness

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate them into training programs like VR/AR training solutions.

  • Work closely with department heads and managers to identify training needs and gaps in existing programs

  • Manage training resources, including equipment and materials, to ensure availability and readiness for training sessions.

  • Provide regular updates to the Lead Training DPS Growth Project and other stakeholders on the status of training programs.

Key requirements:

  • completed apprenticeship

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical training and/or aseptic environments

  • Strong knowledge of sterile fill and finish processes

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) e.g. Cornerstone on Demand

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Fluency in German and English

  • Knowledge of authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline) is a plus.

  • Federal diploma (or equivalent) in adult learning is a plus
