We are looking for a Director, Process Design Architect (m/f/d) in Basel with around 30% of travelling.
This role provides expert level technical, design guidance for the early project phases and leads the facility and process design architecture discipline for SGIE Growth projects during initiation phase.
Key responsibilities:
Provide leadership and expertise in process architecture area for the project initiation and subsequent development of design.
Address and manage the facility design for process-/personnel-/waste flows, equipment integration, operating heights, clearance, maintenance access and logistics.
Ensure that all appropriate standards and regulations are incorporated both from internal and external with special focus on EHS and Sustainability.
Develop and generate blocking-/stacking diagrams, adjacency bubble diagrams, building & facility layouts, design and construction models and documentation utilizing e.g. Revit or other state of the art BIM software.
Link the various stakeholders, engineering departments and players involved in a project - analyze and synthesize the requirements from various stakeholders involved during project initiation and is excellent in transforming these into graphical and visual communication
Act as servant leader, integrator and collaborator - willing to lend a hand/support everyone in her/his sphere of influence
Act as an advisor on hazard and operability concerns, "what-if" situations, Lean design issues, and GMP reviews
Work within a technical engineering context and integrate process engineering, MEP engineering, specialized construction requirements, building code compliance, and overall building design.
Key requirements:
BSc./BEng. (Process-)Engineering or Architecture or equivalent
English business fluent
A minimum of 10 yrs. in Design/Construction of biopharma-,pharma- chemical facilities and laboratories
