Lab Technician, Analytical Development
Background
Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an open position for a laboratory technician and coordinator to join the Next Generation Bioprocess R&D team at our location in Bend, OR. This is an excellent opportunity to join a challenging, dynamic, and cross-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers who focus on improving the manufacturing of biologics medicines.
Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an opening for an Lab Technician to join their Analytical Development team in their Bend, OR location.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order
- Organization and storage of laboratory supplies
- Maintain laboratory reagent and consumables inventory, and place orders for replacements when needed
- Complete training as required, including but not limited to; GMP entry, glassware washing, and solution preparation
- Complete training for safe and appropriate handling and disposal of solutions and waste
- Perform routine laboratory procedures such as, but not limited to; cleaning and restocking glassware, properly disposing of organic and pharmaceutical waste, cleaning and preparing dissolution baths, etc.
- May assist in setting up and/or conducting routine tests using standard techniques under the direction of a Scientist
- Adhere to quality systems and standards to ensure a safe work environment and processes
Requirements
- Science background preferred (any mechanical or technical background considered)
- Learns and adheres to proper chemical handling procedures
- Excellent documentation skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to understand and follow protocols, policies and procedures
- Works independently and carries out assigned duties effectively
