We are currently looking for an experienced senior Director, DFS and ingredients to join our region business unit EMEA.
The candidate is ensuring the EMEA Business Management and Business Development activities for the DFS and the Ingredients segments. He/she will be accountable for regular reporting on the Sales & BD activities, Dashboards & KPI design and follow up.
He/she will be part of EMEA RBU leadership team.
The role can be located in France (Colmar) or Home office
Key responsibility:
- Drive the business development activities in the region
- Drive the business performance in the region – including the cost evolution of the Colmar DFS site
- In conjunction with the Regional Heads and the Head of HEC EMEA ensure a good coordination at customer level.
- Manage customers high level relationship in the area of Business Development & Product development
- Accountable to provide monthly updates on the BD evolution, new trends & focus for the business
- Accountable to deliver quarterly review of the pipelines of projects in Nutrition
- Connect with the other Lonza divisions, to share bast practices, find joint customer approaches
- Support people development in the regions & provide regular feedback to drive skills enhancements in the regions
- Engage is special projects as required from the business.
key requirements:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Sales, BD, R&D and / or product management. Preferred area of study: Biology, Chemistry, related Life Sciences area
- 15+ years experience in commercial or other relevant experience within the life science field & strong experience in managing fragmented type of business & manage people directly and inderectly in delocalizaed regions.
- Experience in working in a matix type of organisation is mandatory The incumbet has experience is influencing & driving peers towards common targets
- Knowledge of the Pharma and Ingredients industry Strong coordination and people management skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, presentation and listening skills.
- Experience dealing with multiple levels of an organization and leading projects primarily through influence, across multiple groups in multiple regions. Strong multicultural awareness
- Flexible and adaptable Must be able to multi-task and possess strong follow through skills. Must have a highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
