Maintenance Planner II

Lonza Cell and Gene Therapy Facility is the largest in the world and our facility is growing. We are looking for professionals to grow with us and have an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Planner II to join our Facilities and Maintenance group.
The role of the Maintenance Planner Level II is to lead efforts to improve work force productivity, increase the efficiency/quality of maintenance work performed, and lead teams in the preparation of maintenance execution work packages in order to achieve a high degree of quality completions for planned and prepared work. This is achieved by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through expert planning, allocation and coordination of labor (direct and contractor), assessment of required parts, permits and tagout requirements. There will also be a focus on estimating equipment/systems access durations for maintenance activities and implementing maintenance process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Increase the efficiency/quality of maintenance work performed, and lead the preparation of maintenance execution work packages.
- Perform planning, allocation and coordination of labor (direct and contractor), assessment of required parts, and permits requirements.
- Organize Vendor support for efficient execution of externally supported activities.
- Accurately estimate equipment/systems access durations for maintenance activities and implementing improvements to master data and planned work durations within the CMMS.
- Careful planning, optimization, and preparation of work execution packages to maintain the designed reliability of plant equipment and extend equipment life cycles.
- Maintain and Improve Job plans intended to ensure or extend the life expectancy of equipment systems therefore contributing to the total reduction of maintenance costs over the life of the asset.
- Provides strategic support for the various site maintenance execution teams by working closely with in-house and contractor maintenance resources.
- Maintain dialog and clear communication between multiple cross-functional groups. Maintenance Managers & Supervisors, Asset Management Team, Operations Managers/Supervisors, Process Engineering, QA, QC, Environmental Monitoring, QA Operations/Compliance, and External Contractors.
- Provide regular updates and status reports for maintenance plans within his/her area of responsibility are expected to be provided to department and area management on a regular basis.
- Maintain regulated cGMP business environment utilizing a structured Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Key Requirements:
- BS/AS in an engineering related discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in leading the preparation and execution of maintenance work packages in industrial production facility/ Solid understanding of inter-department maintenance operations.
- Experience working in a cGMP regulated environment highly desired.
- Strong ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Ability to embrace a culture of sharing knowledge and training of others.
- Proficient at driving methods of change in achieving productivity improvement goals.
- Solid knowledge of CMMS systems, preferably SAP Plant Maintenance module. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
