Following a promotion within the team, we are seeking an experienced sales / business development individual with good understanding of the Pharmaceutical space to join Lonza as a Business Development Manager for the CEE region. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating business opportunities to grow Capsugel’s leading share in the oral dosage marketplace, working closely with divisional and regional business leaders to ultimately secure growth for Lonza CHI across the CEE region.

You will be part of a high-performing team of Sales Managers, Business Development Managers and Sales Representatives, with excellent visibility across divisional and regional Business Leaders internally, as well as our customer base; as such this is a fantastic role for someone looking to further develop their own skills and grow their career within Lonza.
This position is expected to be home-office based in a CEE country with significant travel to customer sites.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
Generate new business & expansion of the customer base through direct customer visits, promoting current and emerging technologies
Identify market trends, assess market potential and develop strategies to grow Capsugel's market share in the Pharmaceutical Industry
Implement development projects with Lonza customers, setting in place and then executing the required project plans
Provides timely customer support and defines and interfaces with internal resources, when necessary.
Introduction of new products, services, and technologies in the region.
Working with customers to ensure the successful development of new products and growth initiatives
Works with Lonza marketing, sales and product development to develop strategies that ensures Lonza’s position as a multi-product solution provider for customers’ existing products and new product introductions.
Manage excellent working relationships with Lonza customers up to C-Level
Troubleshooting when needed, ready to rapidly resolve issues as they arise while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Close liaison with Customer Service Centers in Belgium and France
Minimum Required Qualifications/Skills:
Master's degree in sciences, Pharmaceutical & chemistry and/or a postgraduate qualification in Business, or Technical field is a must.
Significant experience within Sales, Product Development, Marketing and Business Development
Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, lifecycle and regulatory landscape as well as an active network with the key CDMO, generics and originators space
Proven ability to identify pharmaceutical market trends and establish action plans that capitalize on those trends.
Advanced English level is mandatory with a second EU language
