Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is growing, and we are seeking an experienced MSAT Global MSAT Tech Transfer Lead. To provide central technical support leading complex large scale network Tech Transfers both out of the Slough pilot facility and site to site in support of the Global Biologics Operations network. As an SME be the network point of contact to work with Group Operations MSAT professionals to introduce and adopt both process and business improvements in tech transfer execution to meet company goals.

Be a Global Chaperone, ensuring deployment and adherence to global best practice and harmonization of Tech Transfer procedures and processes throughout the product lifecycle across the Biologics network.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the technical oversight of international tech transfers including all aspects of process tech transfer stages of work, coordinating cross site with network peers to ensure successful outcomes in terms of cost, timeline and customer objectives.

Represents the Global MSAT technical function in oversight preparation and execution of site-to-site transfers with sending and receiving sites.

Represents the MSAT function working cross site and cross functionally with R&D and PDS to implement to desired timelines innovative and new process technologies. Makes technical decisions and ensures successful transfer to manufacturing of pre commercial projects identifying and resolving technical problems as required.

Contributes to the development and implementation of structured technical or business improvements to ensure continuous improvements in project tech transfer execution and customer projects outcomes working with peers in the Group Operations MSAT function.

Key Requirements:

Bachelors or Master's with demonstrated years of relevant experience in technical discipline | Biological science or biochemical engineering discipline.

Preferably Masters or PhD level with demonstrated years of relevant experience in technical discipline. | Biologic science or biochemical engineering disciplines.

- Mammalian or microbial background for drug substance manufacturing support experience 
- Extensive experience in a drug substance GMP operations 
- Strong knowledge in process development and/or a manufacturing operations validation background.
- Be a recognized expert in field USP and/or DSP drug substance operations from working over an extensive period.
- Have a successful technical transfer expertise gained from a drug substance-manufacturing environment. 
- Have demonstrable experience working in cross-functional project management with ability to multitask, prioritize and be an effective decision maker influential.
- Have a deep understanding of manufacturing process as a whole e.g. Supply chain, analytical, QA, QC.
- Strong interpersonal skills especially resilience to challenge are required with ability to work cross functionally with global internal and external customers on a daily basis.
