In order to support the strategic growth investments of the company, we are looking for a Postgraduate interested to join our quality team and drive quality systems & processes related topics within our quality organization focusing on capital projects. The main responsibilities are listed below, but not limited to and might be adapted depending on project priorities.

This 2-year contract position is based in Visp Switzerland, the site is easily commutable from Sion or Bern and the Bernese Oberland (35 minutes by train from Thun). Visp, also known as the sun center of Switzerland, is located in the Swiss Alps close to Zermatt, Saas Fee and Cran-Montana – a beautiful area to go skiing in the winter or enjoying great views during hiking and biking tours in the summer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive and oversee quality systems and processes within the Quality SGIE organization.

  • Coordinate & lead quality systems and process improvement initiatives

  • Lead KPI monitoring in Quality SGIE

  • Support the coordination within the different quality SGIE teams.

  • Act as a key member in cross-functional project teams, by ensuring that cGMP and Lonza guidelines are followed and implemented during the entire phase of the project, from Ideation to Execution

  • Escalating issues in an open and timely manner and taking leadership for their resolution

Key requirements:

  • Master degree in biotechnology, chemistry, life science or related field

  • Notion of biomanufacturing environment, cGMP requirements or Qualification and Validation is an advantage, but not required

  • Ability to solve problems, providing practical solutions.

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills

  • Self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluent in English required, German is an asset, any other language is a plus
