The Coordinator, Logistics is the connecting link between Sales, CSR, and the Distribution Centers. This colleague will ensure smooth shipping activity through creation and maintenance of schedules. They will manage freight payment to ensure payment is rendered to carriers within terms. Responsibilities include report writing and SOP writing as necessary. You will own and manage certain shipping routes and act as an internal CSR for the customer service team by ensuring product gets to the customer on time with appropriate documents and labels.
Key responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment throughout the domestic supply chain network
Transfer inventory throughout the network
Look over orders pending shipment report to determine which orders need to ship
Prepare those orders to be pulled by warehouse associates for loading on trucks
Print all C of A’s for each order shipping to customer
Prepare all paperwork and generate master bill of lading
3PL Warehouse Support – transportation, order fulfillment , & cGMP audit support/oversight to all outside DCs
Liaison to CSR’s & Sales – process improvement, supply chain optimization with respect to the 3PLs
Troubleshoot delivery issues across the network
Transportation Cost Analysis – cost/benefit; TL vs LTL, utilize small parcel
Perform other duties as assigned. Work with the warehouses to manage/coordinate and request disposition of aged inventories
Confirm and ship all LIG, PAL, PLD and DHS Licap transfer shipments in Domestic/Canada. Including Small Parcel – FedEx management, Truckload (TL), Less than Truckload (LTL), PR Shipment, Ocean – door to door ocean service: GWD-JAX-BQN-customer, Air – working on single POC with Caribex via MIA to SJU direct
Key requirements:
Associate degree in business, logistics, science, or engineering preferred. High School Diploma or GED required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer skills
Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or distribution strongly preferred
SAP experience strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision with strong attention to detail
