SGIE Trainee - Project and Maintenance Engineer/Technician

Lonza in Visp is looking for a Trainee (m/f/d) for our Project and Maintenance Engineering within our SGIE organization (Strategic Growth and Investment Engineering). The Trainee works in the process analytic (PA) team to support the chemists in the field of process analytics and automation in the current capital projects in Visp. The Trainee will also support the technicians in maintenance and troubleshooting of existing online/inline analytical systems
You will actively participate in start-up, qualification and maintenance of technologies like NIR, Raman and MS, Monitoring of oxygen level, toxic gases and explosive gases, Monitoring of offgas analytic, Online-TOC and -ozon, Online UV-photometry and many more.
You are working as part of an empowered team to achieve the project and maintenance mission, vision and goals through efficient and safe operation of analytical systems in manufacturing area. compliance with current good manufacturing processes and ensure maintenance is done in time (hands-on work in manufacturing area).
During two years you will gain a broad perspective within SGIE. The assignment of responsibilities and projects depends on current business needs and on the Trainee’s skills and interests.
Participate in the PA engineering of current capital projects
Support chemists in current capital projects
System and field device calibration within maintenance
Performing IQ/OQ on chemists request
Plan and install new online/inline analytical systems in manufacturing area
Update/improve online/inline analytical systems in manufacturing area
Lab technician / B. Sc. or equivalent degree in chemistry/chem. engineering (analytical scope)
Analytical chemistry skills
Strong communication (written/verbal) skills in German and English
Ability to communicate and work in a highly effective team environment
Wish to develop you knowledge in analytics out of the lab directly into the manufacturing area
