Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting the execution Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) global training initiatives, standard onboarding programs, standard unit operations, initiation, approval and life cycle management of global Unit Operations documents at Lonza CGT sites.

Key responsibilities:

  • Writes, reviews and gets Sites and Quality approval of global training and Unit operations documents, and facilitate site pre-implementation activities for training harmonization initiatives.

  • Supports the life cycle management of all CGT global training documents, in collaboration with CGT Sites and global technical team.

  • Participate in identifying opportunities for workstreams and lead teams  in the generation of output

  • Use knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure that training and documents meet Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards

  • Actively build positive relationships with training stakeholders throughout the organization

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of adult learning principles to ensure successful transfer of knowledge when providing instruction

  • Identify appropriate operational excellence tools, processes, and theory to incorporate into the design of training solutions

  • Use positive influence techniques to lead teams in goal achievement

  • Identify appropriate KPIs to link to project actions in order to improve organizational outcomes

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships in the workplace

  • Lead the implementation of communication activities related to organizational training efforts

  • Identify appropriate human engineering, human performance, and adult learning and behavior principles to incorporate into training solutions

  • Provide learning management system and document management system administrative support and training

  • Use the ADDIE model and related training-design models to develop technical and informational training programs

  • Apply technical writing principles to design workplace documents to ensure Global error-prevention system alignment

Key requirements:

  • Bachelors’ in Life Science or other Science related fields

  • Technical writing experience including manufacturing documentation and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Knowledge of expectations for GMP compliance

  • Computer software skills including Microsoft Office, database and spreadsheet creation and maintenance, filing, organization, record keeping and planning skills,

  • Experience leading mid-size projects with aggressive deadlines

  • Demonstrates agility in terms of timelines, priorities, and approach

  • Excellent Written and oral communication and listening skills

  • Ability to work independently and self-direct work activities

  • Experience leading processes that incorporate adult learning and human performance theory

  • Experience leading processes that incorporate OE principles and tools
