Associate Director Corporate Accounting (m/w/d)

Lonza is looking for an Associate Director Corporate Accounting. The job holder is managing, maintaining and supporting the simplification and standardization of the global chart of accounts. Additionally, he/she will play an active role in driving compliance to the global account reconciliation policy by ensuring that the supporting documentation is in line with global standards

Key responsibilities:

• Approve General Ledger account creation and extension in alignment with global standards; liaise with Global Masterdata team

• Analyze account usage and propose actions for simplification and master data standardization of general ledger accounts

• Support analysis of internal/external leading practices and benchmarks in SAP Financial Accounting

• Support development of global accounting guidelines including proper account usage for key processes

• Manage Chart of Account Dashboard and track data quality

• Review reconciliation supporting documentation for compliance and ensure alignment with reconciliation standards

• Support review SAP FI Blueprint for CoA setup (ie. Migration/expansion into SAP

Key requirements:

• Solid experience with professional accounting in an international environment

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with focus on accounting; CPA preferred

• Strong operational finance process knowledge ; IFRS knowledge preferable

• Knowledge of  SAP FI and interfaces to sub ledgers and supporting modules (AM, MM, SD, PP, PS, CO)

• Experience creating accounting memos and process documentation

• Strong presentation and communication skills; summarize complex matters in a clear, concise, accurate, and unambiguous way
