Strategic Buyer SM API (m/f/d)

Randstad Inhouse Services is looking for a Strategic buyer SM API (m/f/d) for Lonza AG (100%). This is a temporary position for 6 to 9 weeks starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

  • Negotiate and contract the assigned SM-API Visp specific portfolio

    • Deliver measurable value and competitive procurement prices

    • Work closely with line manager to develop procurement value and identify savings opportunities

    • Drive tendering, negotiation, contracting and sourcing for assigned materials

    • Optimize supplier’s payment terms.

  • Ensure business continuity for assigned portfolio for SM-API Visp site

  • Support SM-API category strategy execution on Visp site in collaboration with Category Managers

  • Monitor SM-API Visp site specific supplier performance in collaboration with Supply Chain and drive site supplier performance improvement

  • Site Stakeholder Management: Ensure smooth collaboration with the Visp site key stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance…)

  • Procurement related site activities: Complete and maintain SAP as needed to allow creation of Purchase orders for Supply Chain-Material Planner; Validate orders and contracts aligned with potential site specific procedures

  • Processes, tools and Systems: 

    • Ensure compliance with Lonza standards and regulatory requirements

    • Support roll-out of Lonza procedures, policies and guidelines

    • Support Procurement initiatives, roll-out of procurement tools, processes and systems

    • Complete and maintain the documentation database as required



Key requirements

  • Relevant education and work experience

    • Commercial background

    • Purchasing experience as Buyer 

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Good knowledge of English and German
