Lonza is looking for a Director Business Modeling. In this role you support the Biologics Division Head of Finance and Business Unit Heads in the assessment/valuation, execution, and controlling of major growth investments.
Tools, reporting & project portfolio analyses prepared by the Business Modeling group enable management to prioritize the most favorable projects, assess their impact on the company’s long-term financial plan. Hence, the role offers great visibility towards senior management and the opportunity to help shape Lonza’s future & strategy.
Key responsibilities:
Develops and reviews financial models supported by the Business Modeling Analyst and holds overall responsibility for modeling standards, accuracy and reliability of such analyses
Coordinates regular business case up-dates, evaluating and analyzing the project progress vs original assumptions and latest up-date together with Project Champion, SGIE, Sales and BU Controller
Participates in the development and improvement of financial strategy for the Division
Actively monitors the Division project portfolio and supports the Leadership Team in prioritization of investments by developing & maintaining tools for continuous project reporting
Performs ad-hoc analyses and requests at Division level, including market assessments, customer segmentation, business development transactions, development projects, sales, risks and opportunities as well as follow up action plans and Division initiatives
Works closely with SGIE (Strategic Growth Investment Engineering) on the CapEx plan
Key requirements:
Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar
Significant experience in project management & controlling, preferably from the pharma/chemicals industry
SAP, SAC and other tools relevant for Controlling function
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical analyses & forecasting
Advanced MS Office and Power BI
