Reporting to Sr Director, Strategic Marketing, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager as part of our Licensing team. The Lonza Licensing  team is part of our global biopharma business, providing access to Lonza’s proprietary technology systems for protein expression. Our technologies support the generation of biological therapeutics that are used world-wide.

The Product Marketing Manager for Protein Expression Systems (ES) Licensing is a global role providing critical support in evolving and managing the mammalian and microbial technology platform offerings, that include mammalian, E.coli and Pichia-based systems, to meet the needs of the Licensing business unit and its customers. The role combines product management and product marketing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and optimizing the overall ES portfolio
  • Driving ES Licensing product lifecycle management and product development.
  • Collecting and collating voice of customer reports and feeding these back to the business to improve current offerings and promote development of new product offerings
  • Monitoring product market performance.
  • Understanding market dynamics and competitor offerings/positioning.
  • Developing key messages, value proposition and collateral.
  • Collaborating internally to build technical support into a differentiating strength for Lonza expression systems.

Key requirements:

  • Educational background in Life Sciences degree or related topic.
  • Ability to quickly and proactively learn new technology platforms.
  • Strong commercial understanding with marketing experience.
  • Ability to work across multiple functions, interfacing with different departments and subject matter experts.
