The MSAT Scientist II represents MSAT in customer project teams using a standard methodology/procedure to successfully transfer both defined as well as complex process stages either into USP or in DSP operations from development through to cGMP manufacturing.  Ensures relevant transfer and communication of critical process and technical information.  Actively communicates with the customer to ensure deliverables are on target.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for plant technical support including process training, monitoring, and off line completion of Quality systems e.g. deviation, change controls, CAPA’s and root cause analysis.

  • Works cross functionally to ensure relevant transfer and communication of critical process and technical information such that projects meet the required deadlines/customer outcomes. 

  • Contributes to the resolution of identified manufacturing process issues through leading RCA procedures to ensure continuous improvements are made to the cGMP process.

  • Work with SME’s to develop knowledge base and deeper process understanding and also support as needed junior level team members on specific technical problem resolution.

  • Proactively anticipates and evaluates technical challenges within area of expertise.

  • Self-managed in resolving deviations, unit operations including interaction and strong communication with both internal and external team(s)/resources to achieve successful outcomes and to facilitate continual learning through experience and shared learning.

  • Understands new technologies and how they may be applicable to process innovation. Identifies & introduces new raw materials 

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences required, Master’s preferred

  • Significant experience in biologics processing and data analysis

  • Demonstrates persistence and motivation to overcome obstacles and challenges

  • Follow safety procedures and comply with safety policies of the company and site
