Postdoc/Postgraduate – QA specialist Capex Projects (m/f/d)

In order to support our growth in Stein and Visp (Switzerland, AG), we are looking for Postdocs / Postgraduates  in order to support our project portfolio growth. The successful candidates will be hired on a 2-years contract joining a cross-functional team. The main responsibilities are listed below, but not limited to and might be adapted depending on project priorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee Commissioning, Qualification and Validation activities undertaken in order to be compliant with internal requirements, regulatory expectations and industrial standards

  • Oversee the implementation of global Performance Qualification standards across different Lonza sites

  • Support the definition and implementation of robust business processes related to the CAPEX project quality oversight.

  • Act as a key member in cross-functional project teams, by ensuring that cGMP and Lonza guidelines are followed and implemented during the entire phase of the project, from Ideation to Execution

  • Escalating issues in an open and timely manner and taking leadership for their resolution

Key requirements:

  • Master or PhD degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or other relevant disciplines

  • Notion of biomanufacturing environment, cGMP requirements Qualification and Validation is an advantage

  • Self-motivated individual with ability to solve problems, understand details and strategic vision, have strong analytical and investigative skills, provide pragmatic solutions with a collaborative approach

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluent in English required, German is an asset, any other language is a plus
