For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position of Lead Scientist Combination Products and Primary Packaging Testing Engineer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure laboratory activities are performed in a safe manner and laboratory infrastructure is ready-to-use when needed

  • Define and dispense trainings associated with use of equipment and infrastructure

  • Design, ensure manufacturing and validate holders and fixtures to enable testing of primary packaging (e.g. vials, PFS) and combination product components (e.g. syringes, pens)

  • Perform technological watch in order to expand the testing capability of the laboratory by e.g. interacting with equipment suppliers

  • Develop and maintain associated processes (e.g. SOPs)

  • Provide expert support on equipment and infrastructure related aspects in case of unexpected events

Key requirements:

  • Technician or BSc in mechanical engineering or measurement techniques

  • Work experience with construction, GD&T and manufacturing of pharmaceutical equipment or commissioning/qualification of GMP equipment and infrastructure

  • Team player willing to evolve in a highly multidisciplinary and multicultural environment

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Good communication skills
