Head of Project Office DPS is an integral member of the DPS Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Business Unit Head DPS. The Incumbent acts as “right hand” for the BU Head on all matters related to his agenda and project work. The purpose of this role is twofold: 1) Support the Business Unit Head to shape, inform, facilitate and lead, as appropriate, the strategic dialogue within the respective Business Unit and 2) Lead and execute strategic initiatives/key projects for the Business Unit and on behalf of the BU Head.

Key responsibilities:

  • Scopes, plans, facilitates and leads decision making and execution in alignment  with BU Head and BU Strategy

  • Leads special projects / Business Cases that help to deliver BU objectives

  • Follows up on, helps drive, and leads, as appropriate execution of critical initiatives for the BU, ensuring collaboration and consistency within the BU where needed

  • Identify issues and conduct analysis on issues that impact the BU agenda

  • Drives the agenda of the BU leadership team, providing organizational support to leadership in preparation for and during as well as follow-up after LT meetings

  • Leads and coordinates the preparation of all necessary presentations, documents and submissions by the Division for Lonza’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors

  • Supports the development and execution of BU communication strategies which impact culture and performance with support of internal communication to ensure the agenda and initiatives are understood, reinforced and visible throughout the organization

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work effectively in situations of ambiguity
