Technical & GMP Trainer

Lonza Cell and Gene Therapy facility, located in Houston, Texas, is the largest in the world and our facility is growing.  We are looking for a Technical and GMP Trainer to oversee training programs and schedules for new hires and current employees. The Technical Trainer will provide Classroom, hands on Aseptic and Technical training and coaching.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom and hands-on aseptic technical training

  • Assess trainee competency, provide feedback, and coach trainees success

  • Works closely with department SMEs to effectively design and align training programs which build core aseptic and general process expertise

  • Liaison with department manager(s) to identify technical training needs and expectations.  Monitor and share progress and outcomes

  • Coordinate and oversee training programs

  • Assess training programs for continuous improvement, error reduction, and increased operator aseptic and process knowledge and skill

  • This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, across all levels of the organization and ability to authoritatively discuss technical issues with internal and customer experts

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science

  • GMP compliance knowledge

  • Cell culture, molecular biology or biotech/biopharma laboratory and/or manufacturing experience, preferably in a cGMP manufacturing environment

  • Planning/Organizing/Controlling training schedules
